Job summary

A leading heavy building materials supplier is seeking an Industrial Electrician in Gabbs, Nevada. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in the field, knowledge of electrical codes, and the ability to troubleshoot independently. Responsibilities include working with electrical blueprints, adhering to safety standards, and providing their own hand tools. Qualifications

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Must have reasonable knowledge of electrical code and installation procedures. Previous experience in 2400V; 480 – 3 phase motor controls and system operation.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and programming
• Able to read electrical blueprints.
• Hold a Journeyman Electrician card preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Troubleshoot effectively with a minimum of supervision.
• Applicant is required to furnish his own hand tools.
• Experience in mining is helpful.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of safety in the electrical field.
• Capable of working with a minimum of supervision.
• All work described above to be done in an efficient and workman-like manner.
• Any knowledge of welding and fabrication is a plus but not required.
• Applicant is responsible for the housekeeping and cleanup around his work area.
• Additional duties are required as assigned by management.
• Vocational training or equivalent experience.
