Job summary

LSI Staffing seeks an Electrician I to join our client's maintenance team in a hands-on manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and production equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate has industrial electrical experience, is adept at troubleshooting equipment, and can work with PLCs. Safety, reliability, and attention to detail are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Industrial electrical or maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with PLC systems; programming or troubleshooting preferred.
• Experience with electrical wiring, conduit, motors, and control equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand electrical manuals and drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics or textiles.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Inspect and maintain electrical components, wiring, motors, control panels, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Install and repair electrical systems in accordance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic equipment issues and make necessary repairs.
• Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Work with PLC systems and assist with basic PLC programming and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Identify equipment issues, safety hazards, and needed repairs.
• Assist with ordering and identifying parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance.
• Support equipment installations and other facility maintenance projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate equipment problems and maintenance needs to management.
• Provide support to Maintenance Supervisor when needed.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

• Reliable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Manufacturing experience, particularly in plastics or textile production, is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated work areas.
• Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, twist, reach, and grasp as needed.
• Ability to operate an automatic forklift.
• Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
