Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Build electrical components, such as power trays, junction boxes, interfaces, and circuits to required specifications.
• Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing tools and strategies
• Follow state and local building codes/regulations based on the National Electric Code.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to identify the cause and to correct the problem.

Job description

The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), Federal regulations, and OSHA safety standards. May build or install transformers, service panel boxes, or electrical control systems. The Electrician will possess previous work experience (college degree or trade school), certifications and licenses required by the State where work is to be performed. Being able to work in various working condition is a must. The Electrician may spend their time working inside buildings under construction or renovation or outdoors on power, tower, broadcast, and telecommunications systems.

Day to day:

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Build electrical components, such as power trays, junction boxes, interfaces, and circuits to required specifications.
