Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, conduit, fixtures, panels, switchgear, transformers, and related equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, specifications, and government contract documents.
• Install EMT, IMC, rigid conduit, cable trays, and associated supports.
• Pull, terminate, test, and label electrical conductors and low-voltage cabling.
• Install lighting, receptacles, controls, generators, and electrical distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using multimeters, megohmmeters, circuit tracers, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure work complies with NEC, OSHA, project, and local-code requirements.
• Coordinate activities with supervisors, project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Complete corrective maintenance identified through inspections and testing.
• Maintain records of completed work, inspections, and test results.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and follow government security and site-access requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Assist with project closeout and punch-list completion.

Hours: 1st shift - 6am-2:30; 2nd shift 2-10:30pm

Must Have Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience working in healthcare facilities
• High school diploma or GED
• Qualified electrician as defined by EM 385-1-1 standards
• Journeyman Electrician license where required by the applicable jurisdiction, or military journeyman level 5 or higher documented on a DD214
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code

This individual will perform skilled electrical work at Eglin Air Force Base, supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The Electrician will work with wiring, conduit, panels, switchgear, transformers, lighting, controls, generators, and distribution equipment while following National Electrical Code requirements, safety regulations, project specifications, and applicable federal standards.
