Company Overview

GS Developers has been working in southeastern Pennsylvania for over 30 years as a water and wastewater contractor completing a wide range of projects for multiple municipalities and private utilities. We specialize in design build projects, as well as bonded contracts.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced electrician who is self-motivated and ready to undertake a variety of tasks relating to installing and maintaining electrical infrastructure with minimal supervision. The position involves installing electrical gear, panels, conduit, racks, electrical cable, and equipment in an array of settings, both indoor and outdoor. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems, with power equipment, distribution experience, VFD, and control wiring being a plus.

Responsibilities

  1. Execute plans of electrical wiring, lighting, and other electrical systems.
  2. Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
  3. Prepare and assemble conduits/racks and underground PVC, and pull and terminate cabling productively to equipment and distribution panels.
  4. Install both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems in voltages up to 480 volts.
  5. Test wiring connections and circuits with test equipment like volt/amp/ohmmeters.
  6. Read, understand, and interpret technical and construction-related documents (drawings, technical manuals, and specifications) to determine equipment and materials required or appropriate methods of repair or installation.
  7. Assist other trades mechanics in work projects or special assignments.
  8. Communicate clearly and effectively to co-workers and management, both verbally and in writing.
  9. Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to properly complete a job.

Skills

  1. Proven documented experience and training as an electrician.
  2. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
  3. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
  4. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  5. Must possess knowledge of electrical codes, and journey-level knowledge of electrical trade practices.
  6. Must have the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
  7. Must be able to wire up multi-voltage motors to match the specific voltage required.
  8. Have an excellent ability to work both independently and with other trades personnel and customers as necessary.
  9. Possess a safe driving record.
  10. Competent documentation skills.

Qualifications

  1. Must provide resume and three (3) trade references.
  2. High School Diploma/GED or higher level.
  3. Three (3) years minimum of electrical experience in a construction environment.
  4. Valid Driver's License.
  5. Electrician Certifications / Schooling.
