Job summary

CS Erickson is seeking a highly skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role targets professionals with significant hands‑on experience (8,000+ hours) who can work independently and lead small crews without a Journeyman license.

You will read blueprints, ensure NEC compliance, support project execution, and mentor apprentices while upholding safety on busy job sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8,000 hours of electrical experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor apprentices in the field.
• Experience with electrical installation, service work, or both.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and equipment connections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to execute work accurately.
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Lead and direct apprentices and less experienced electricians on job tasks.
• Ensure all work meets NEC code requirements and company quality standards.
• Assist Foremen and Project Leaders with layout, planning, and material needs.
• Identify and communicate jobsite issues, risks, or inefficiencies proactively.
• Support commissioning, startup, and testing of electrical systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in alignment with company safety policies.
• Accurately track time, materials, and job progress as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

• Minimum of 8,000 hours of electrical experience in commercial and/or industrial environments
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor apprentices in the field
• Experience with electrical installation, service work, or both
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Journeyman Electrician license (or actively working toward it)
• Experience in industrial environments or complex commercial projects
• Exposure to controls, automation, or specialty systems
