Job summary

Vylor in St. Joseph, Illinois, seeks an Electrician to ensure operation of production equipment, perform electrical maintenance, and drive safety and reliability improvements across the facility.

The role requires Journeyman Electrical experience, NEC knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and comfort with SAP/PLC environments; must work well in a team and be available for overtime during peak production periods.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrical experience.
• Ability to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive a company vehicle.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing and able to climb, stand, and work in varied conditions; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control devices for process and facility.
• Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting, and scheduled inspections.
• Support electrical safety programs and ensure adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to safety improvements and propose new devices or hardware to enhance reliability.
• Maintain detailed equipment records and drawings, and work overtime during seasonal peaks.

What You Will Do:

Ensure operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, for process and facilityPerform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting and scheduled inspections of equipment, following the prescribed guidelines and proceduresReview and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence and complianceAdhere to all quality systems & safety procedures including environmental regulations, OSHA, PSM, and Corteva’s safety procedures in everyday work routineMake recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices, and hardwareVarious other duties as assigned

What Skills You Need:

What Makes You Stand Out:

Master Licensed ElectricianExperience with a work order and part inventory systemKnowledge and/or experience with Automation and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)Previous industrial maintenance work production equipment - electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, Motors and Gearmotors, instrumentation and controls, HVAC, and general maintenance experience).Experience with an SAP (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory

The salary range for this position is $74,457.00 to $82,730.00. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
