Job summary

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Cheektowaga area is seeking a Maintenance Electrician.

Position Purpose

The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for performing various electrical installations and repair services for the electrical utilities and machinery within the plant; to include the maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement, repair and testing of energized equipment and circuits.

• General
• Ensures that all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury
• Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed at all times (nojewelry, cell phone, nicotine in any form, etc.)
• Ensure all quality, food safety, safety, environmental as well as all other Company policies and procedures are followed
• Ensure that all quality, food safety, safety, and environmental issues are reportedto the appropriate manager or supervisor
• Housekeeping duties performed throughout the shift
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and while standing/walking for duration of shift
• Develop, implement, and support Continuous Improvements Programs
• Initiates corrective action for non-conformances
• Identify Opportunities for Improvement and enter into See It, Sort It, Report It system
• Duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
• Able and willing to wear appropriate PPE as required
