The Maintenance Electrician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and focuses on maintaining equipment and improving plant operation through troubleshooting and preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical systems within our facility.

Safety is emphasized; candidates must demonstrate ability to uphold safety policies, and complete required offsite training during the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• 3rd year Electrical apprentice progressing toward Journeyman electrician status.
• Willingness to complete required offsite training for position.
• Background in maintenance related area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and improve plant operation through troubleshooting and preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and other equipment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, efficiency and environmental compliance.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Vulcraft Utah is seeking applications for the position of Electrician. The Maintenance Electrician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor while carrying out the duties and responsibilities required of the position. Primary responsibilities include working within and across multiple groups to maintain equipment and improve plant operation through troubleshooting as well as preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and other equipment in compliance with all plant safety and environmental practices and procedures. Electrician will be expected to continue developing skills and knowledge necessary to install, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical power and control systems within our facility.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
