EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a 1st shift Electrician in Bethesda, MD. The successful candidate will perform electrical maintenance, support general facility upkeep, and communicate effectively with the Facility Manager.
The role requires a high school diploma, 3-5 years of electrical facility maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. Compensation ranges from $32 to $39 per hour, and responsibilities include managing electrical systems and maintaining professional client interactions.
EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a 1st shift Electrician in Bethesda, MD (6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday). The Technician will report daily to the EMCOR facility manager and support him/her to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary responsibilities of this position are to be responsible for the electrical needs and general facility maintenance at the facility while performing general maintenance of equipment as required. Knowledge of and capable to perform electrical repairs and various general tasks assigned. Qualified applicants must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in facilities electrical maintenance and dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
The ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, walk the facility throughout the day, kneel repetitively during the shift, move in a 90‑degree fashion on a repetitive basis, and maneuver on a variety of terrains including shoveling snow when required. Ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, vibration, and loud noise. May be required to work in confined, restricted and hot areas. Snow removal responsibilities require time spent outdoors in cold/snow conditions. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays when required.
