Freedom Solar Power is hiring a skilled Solar Electrician to perform full on-site residential installations in Austin, TX. You will install electrical equipment, interconnect PV systems, and upgrade services while ensuring code compliance and safety on every project.

Seeking candidates with licensed electrical credentials, 5+ years of electrical experience (solar preferred), and the ability to read blueprints. Company truck provided; competitive pay and performance bonuses offered.

Formación

• Valid Residential Wireman, Journeyman Electrician, or Master Electrician license required.
• Driver's license and clean driving record required.
• 5+ years of electrical experience; 2+ years solar electrical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes, circuits, and service requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Able to bend EMT and install on rooftops with pitched roofs.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostics.
• Tesla Powerwall experience or smart home energy management systems a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Install electrical equipment and circuits, complete DC conduit runs, and interconnect PV systems to existing residential services.
• Upgrade customer electrical service as needed—main panel upgrades and meter bases, external disconnects, and code compliance assessments.
• Perform system testing—voltage, amperage, and power tests for each installation.
• Complete commissioning and inspection checklists with precision.
• Follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols on every job site.
• Support service work orders and assist with other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Install electrical equipment and circuits, complete DC conduit runs, and interconnect PV systems to existing residential services.
• Upgrade customer electrical service as needed - main panel upgrades and meter bases, external disconnects, and code compliance assessments.

What You Bring

• Valid Residential Wireman, Journeyman Electrician, or Master Electrician license (required)

• 5+ years of electrical experience; 2+ years of solar electrical experience preferred
• Knowledge of local electrical codes, circuits, and service requirements
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and basic one-line diagrams
• Ability to bend ½" - 1¼" EMT and install on rooftops with 10-53° pitch
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostics
• Bonus points: Tesla Powerwall experience or smart home energy management systems

The Physical Side

• Comfortable on ladders, and at heights - no fear of elevation
• Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly throughout the day
• Good with bending, stretching, squatting, and extended physical effort
• Unbothered by Texas heat (100°F+) or a cold snap - you work in all conditions
