Job summary

Freedom Power is looking for a Commercial Solar Installer to join a tight crew performing large-scale solar installations across Texas, from 10kW to 1MW. The role emphasizes quality workmanship, safety, and a commitment to the company's mission and values.

The position requires 0–4 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to travel within Texas for in-state projects. Competitive, performance-based bonuses accompany hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of experience in commercial solar installation, electrical work, or construction.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for in-state commercial projects.
• Apprentice Electrician license preferred; electrical code knowledge strongly desired.
• Familiarity with commercial solar mechanical and electrical principles.
• Strong work history with demonstrated career progression.
• Flexible, hard-working team player who delivers under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a crew on commercial solar installations ranging from 10kW to 1MW.
• Execute quality workmanship safely and on-schedule for every assignment.
• Uphold safety, quality, and attitude standards according to company policies.

What You'll Do

The Physical Side

• Able to lift, bend, squat, and haul 50+ lbs routinely throughout the day
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and across large commercial job sites
• Ready to work in Texas heat and all outdoor conditions — hot climates are part of the job
• Willing to travel in-state as commercial projects require
