Job summary

Arconic Corporation is seeking Electricians to join the RPNA unit in Alcoa, Tennessee. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial machinery, including AC/DC motors, controls, and PLCs, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year electrical maintenance experience, and completion of an approved apprenticeship or industrial electricity program. Proficiency in basic software and testing is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• 1+ year of electrical maintenance experience with AC/DC motors, electrical controls, programmable controllers, and 480v power distribution.
• Completion of a Department of Labor approved apprenticeship or certificate from a post-secondary industrial maintenance or industrial electricity program.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Successful candidate must pass Arconic Electrical Entrance Testing.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Create job kits for maintenance jobs including repairs, new equipment installation, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and state and federal regulations.

Arconic is currently in search of Electricians to join our Rolled Products North America (RPNA), business unit in Alcoa, TN.Arconic’s Tennessee Operations, is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. The Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial machinery and equipment with a working knowledge of AC/DC motors and controls, Programmable Logic, combustion, metering, air conditioning, power distribution (low and high voltage), conduit and schematics. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Read electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• 1+ year of electrical maintenance experience with a variety of areas, including AC/DC motors, electrical controls, programmable controllers, and 480vpower distribution or
  • Completion of a Department of Labor approved apprenticeship or
  • Certificate from a post-secondary industrial maintenance or industrial electricity program
• Proficiency with basic computer applications such such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Successful candidate must pass Arconic Electrical Entrance Testing

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical maintenance experience.
• Completion of an approved apprentice program or technical training.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• Knowledge of National Electric code.
• Experience with PLC’s, combustion.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and applications.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
