Job summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will apply electrical and mechanical expertise to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency, with after-hours call support as needed.

The position offers a base rate of $37.64 per hour, with pay premiums, shift differentials, overtime where applicable, and annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-4 years of related experience.
  • General knowledge of computers, operating and network systems.
  • Basics of working around and using High Voltage equipment.
  • Basics of microprocessor-based equipment (loop controllers, VFD, etc.).
  • Experience with gearbox systems, pump systems, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Welding experience, mig and stick.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on Mechanical and Electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose failures to mechanical and electrical equipment and make repairs.
  • Rebuild mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Fabricate sheet metal and conduit.
  • Compile and complete paperwork related to repairs to include but not limited to work orders, timecards, and job cards.
  • Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.
  • Respond to calls after hours and on weekends to repair mechanical equipment failures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Summary

Join our team as an Electromechanical Maintenance Mechanic and play a vital role in keeping our operations running at peak performance. In this role, you will apply your electrical and mechanical expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency across the facility. From preventive maintenance to responding to urgent equipment issues, your skills will help minimize downtime and support continuous, high-quality operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position has a base rate of $37.64 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Preferred Education And Experience
  • Advanced electrical training.
Physical Requirements And Environmental Factors
  • Must be able to move throughout assigned areas of responsibility carrying required equipment and tools to perform trouble shooting procedures, repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Must be able to reach vertical heights up to 150' to perform repairs, preventative maintenance and monitor equipment both open and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work outside in all seasonal weather, stand for 8 to 14 hours.
  • Exposure to air born dust, chemicals, such as hexane, caustic sode, butanone, ethanol and aluminum chloride.
