Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Conyers, GA is seeking an Electrical Worker I to install and maintain electrical fixtures and control equipment. You will measure, bend, assemble conduit, pull wires, connect lighting and power, install breaker panels, and perform wiring of transformers and sensors.

You should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read manuals, perform basic math, and solve practical problems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and geometry concepts.
• Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Measures, bends, assembles and cuts electrical conduit.
• Performs wire pulling through conduit and splicing of wires.
• Connect wires to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Install breaker panels and repair faulty equipment or systems.
• Install probes, transducers, and transformers wiring.
• Tie in compressor panels and perform related wiring tasks.
• Perform wiring of defrost, lights, receptacles, and related controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary:

Plans layout installs electrical fixtures and control equipment.

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

• Measures, bends, assembles and cuts electrical conduit
• Performs wire pulling through conduit
• Performs splicing of wires
• Connect wires to lighting fixtures and power equipment
• Installation of breaker panels
• Repairing faulty equipment or systems
• Installs and connects power cables and grounding leads to equipment
• Installation of probes and transducers
• Perform wiring of transformers
• Tie in Compressor Panels
• Transformer Wiring
• Perform wiring of defrost, lights, receptacles, Fire-Stats and T-Stats
• Measure and cut wiring harnesses for defrost and compressor wiring
• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
