Position Summary

The Electrical Wiring Technician is responsible for wiring machine tools and prioritizing power panel assemblies to meet design criteria, customer expectations, and uphold our high standard of product quality.

Scope and Responsibilities
  • Perform machine electrical installations of components such as power tracks, electrical cabinets, pendants, conduits, switches, motors, temporary power connections, controls, transformers, generators, lighting, and power circuits.
  • Build electrical power panels (high and low voltage) using schematics.
  • Install devices by interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, vendor documentation, and work instructions.
  • Conduct minor electrical testing with volt‑ohm‑ampere meters or diagnostic tools to verify voltage, continuity, and other characteristics.
  • Connect and disconnect temporary power sources as needed.
  • Follow established wiring instructions and support adherence to documented standards.
  • Collaborate with the wiring team to recommend best practices for formal work instructions.
  • Disassemble or disconnect components for inspection, shipment, rebuilding, or replacement activities.
  • Use soldering tools to solder electrical cables, components, and circuit boards.
  • Replace bulbs, fuses, switches, and similar components on machine tools or other products.
  • Document wiring corrections following company standards.
  • Report unusual conditions, potential code violations, or defective materials to supervision.
  • Comply with safety procedures, practices, and electrical codes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Travel occasionally to customer facilities for wiring-related tasks.
Education / Certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • 3+ years of related experience or training preferred.
