Job summary

Harris American Company in Baxley, GA seeks an experienced electrical assembler to lay out, assemble and wire components of machines according to engineering designs.

The role requires at least 2 years of electrical experience, ability to read schematics, use a volt/amp meter and basic hand tools, and to troubleshoot circuits in a factory setting. You must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and commute to the job site daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years electrical experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic math.
• Proficiency with conduit bending, wiring, and use of meters.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble and wire electrical components of machines according to engineering design and report discrepancies.
• Validate program for machine operations.

• Support safety procedures and use lock-out/tag-out systems.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble and wire electrical components of machines according to Engineering design and report all design and production discrepancies to supervisor
• Validate program for machine operations
• Troubleshooting and repair electrical circuits
• Supports facility housekeeping and Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and procedures through department activities. Use lock-out/tag-out system
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

• High skill level, thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the process involved in the position. Minimum 2 years experience in electrical. Must be able to use conduit benders, wire strippers, basic hand tools, voltage and AMP meter. Use laptop computer for diagnostic evaluation of machines
• Read and understand electrical schematics, perform basic math. Literacy is necessary
• Will be required to regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift up to 70 lbs,
• Will be required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, reach at/above/below shoulder level, possess manual dexterity and near visual acuity
• Should be able to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings
• Must be willing to wear all approved shop safety equipment and personal protection equipment
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to commute to the job site
