Job summary

The Marvin Group, based in Southern California near LAX, seeks an Electrical Assembler III to build and test military AME subsystems. You will assemble, inspect, test, and modify electronic/electromechanical components in a process-centric manufacturing environment.

Role requires 5+ years’ experience, blueprints/schematics literacy, IPC/J-STD certifications, and ability to lift 35 lbs. Onsite, with strong focus on teamwork and continuous development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read blueprints and/or schematics.
• IPC-610 Certification: The Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
• IPC-620 Certification: Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies certifications or equivalent required.
• J-STD-001 Certification: Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies required for Solder role.
• Ability to perform moderate, demanding, physical and repetitious work.
• Able to solve problems.
• Detailed-oriented and self-motivation skills.
• Must be able to speak/read/write English.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing and/or Machining environment.
• Fast paced, people and parts movement.
• Noise level moderate to medium.
• Exposed to odors from chemicals/processes.
• Physically demanding.
• Use of PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate various equipment, tools and fixtures to fabricate and assemble electrical assemblies.
• Setup and perform manual and computer-controlled operations for assembly and testing.
• Understand and use planning instructions and assembly drawings.
• Follow all policies and procedures to protect product from ESD damage.
• Hi-REL soldering certification, specifications and procedures.
• Learn, participate, and apply trainings into daily work.
• Verify that all components, consumables, equipment and calibration are within tolerance/expiration before using.
• Use Lean and 6S methodologies to improve and maintain an efficient work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.
