Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC is seeking a Wirer at its Michigan City, Indiana manufacturing plant. The role involves wiring product models to P&I, WD, and Work Instructions, and requires quick decision-making, strong communication, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent is required.
Basic computer skills are required to perform daily tasks.
Ability to troubleshoot problems in electrical and control systems.
Basic understanding of electricity and motor control systems is required.
Must be able to read and interpret BOM, P&I, WD, and Work Instructions.
Must be involved in 6S activities, value stream mapping, TPM, and QCPC data collection.

Responsibilities

Wire product models to P&I, assembly drawings, WD drawings, and Work Instructions.
Pass utility wiring qualification and lockout-tagout training.
Work with SAP, QMS, and Operator Portal for daily activities.
Progress to wire all standard product models and starter boxes as needed.
Systematically troubleshoot electrical failures and report issues to supervision.
