Job summary

Nidec Corporation seeks a skilled winder to rewind electro‑mechanical equipment, ensuring high-quality repairs and adherence to safety standards. You will inspect, dismantle, and rewind windings, document technical data, and operate specialized equipment such as winding machines and test panels.

The role requires ability to read instructions, troubleshoot, and work with a team, with flexibility to cover evenings/weekends if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete required training, in-house or offsite.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends if required.
• Must possess valid identification and be able to operate vehicles if travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electro‑mechanical equipment for damage and malfunctions.
• Test windings per industry standards and customer specs.
• Document data on unit magnets, operating conditions, and serviceability.
• Dismantle damaged equipment and prepare reusable parts for rewinding.
• Rewind windings including three‑phase, DC fields, armatures, and transformers.
• Observe safe insulating techniques during rewinding and testing.
• Operate winding machines, test panels, surge/test equipment, and related tools.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to ISO procedures where required and follow supervisor directions.
