Job summary

Scott Electric in Hagerstown, MD is hiring a Full-Time Warehouse Receiver. You will accurately receive, inspect, and process shipments, verify against orders, and document data in WMS/ERP systems. The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with electrical products, and the ability to operate forklifts.

Work is in-person with standard 8-hour shifts. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in wholesale/distribution, basic math/computer skills, and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of warehouse receiving experience in wholesale or distribution.
• Experience with electrical products (wire, conduit, fittings, panels, lighting).
• Familiarity with WMS or ERP software.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
• Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues.
• Enter receiving data into WMS or ERP systems.
• Label and route materials to correct warehouse locations.
• Coordinate backorders, shortages, or incorrect shipments with teams.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
• Maintain clean receiving and staging areas.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Support picking and shipping during peak periods.
