Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Utility Engineer (Electrical) to design, supervise, and optimize electrical infrastructure, including substations and distribution networks used to deliver reliable power.

You will implement demand response strategies, oversee construction and commissioning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical utility engineering, specifically in substation design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical substation layouts and distribution systems to meet operational requirements.
• Oversee the construction and commissioning of substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
