Job summary

Power Design is seeking an ambitious Electrical Trainee to join our growing team. You’ll work closely with seasoned Electrical Foremen on installing electrical systems on our exciting new projects.

This hands-on role emphasizes training and collaboration, with mentorship, safety, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide contractor. You’ll gain practical experience on live sites while upholding codes and standards.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as an Electrician.
• Proficient knowledge of NEC, local codes, and construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and locate the cause of breakdowns using testing equipment.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring codes compliance.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Maintain current Electrician’s license or ID card to meet regulations.
• Support Superintendents and Electrical Foremen to ensure jobsite safety and security.
