Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Trainee to join our growing team in Wisconsin. This hands-on role provides mentorship from seasoned Electrical Foremen and immersion in the installation of electrical systems on active projects.

You will learn by doing, support jobsite safety, and help turn innovative designs into practical results. Candidates with OSHA 30 preferred and 3+ years as an Electrician or Electrician Apprentice fit the program.

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • 3+ years experience as Electrician or Electrical Apprentice.
  • Proficient knowledge of NEC, local codes, and construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using testing equipment to locate and fix issues.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
  • Advise management on potential hazards of continued operation of equipment.
  • Maintain current Electrician’s License or ID to meet regulations.
  • Support Superintendents and Electrical Foremen to ensure jobsite safety and security.

About the Position

Looking for a new role in the electrical world? We’re searching for an ambitious Electrical Trainee to join our growing team! Power Design is all about hands-on training and collaboration, and with the mentorship of our seasoned Electrical Foremen, this position will be deeply involved in the installation of electrical systems on our exciting new projects. Position Responsibilities
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components using testing equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, as well as ensure compliance with codes
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
  • Maintain current Electrician’s License or identification card to meet governmental regulations
  • Support Superintendents and Electrical Foremen to ensure jobsite safety and security
Here’s What We’re Looking For
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrician/Electrical Apprentice
  • Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements
  • Pay range is $18.00 - $35.00 an hour
