Job summary

Pioneer Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Manager to lead the electrical department, drive revenue growth, and develop top-performing technicians, delivering an exceptional customer experience in a growing organization.

This hands-on leader will oversee operations, ensure safety and compliance, and maintain Pioneer’s reputation for outstanding service. A proven track record in residential electrical service management is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership in residential electrical services.
• 3+ years of electrical management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, service operations, permitting, inspections, and code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the electrical service department.
• Drive departmental revenue growth and achieve sales, profitability, and performance goals.
• Manage, coach, train, and develop electrical service technicians to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Establish clear performance expectations, workmanship standards, and accountability measures for team members.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and career development.
• Support field technicians with technical guidance and assistance on complex customer projects.
• Create and maintain service pricing, inventory control processes, and departmental organization.
• Ensure all electrical work is completed in compliance with applicable codes, permits, inspections, and safety standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators, workforce productivity, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Develop schedules and assign daily work to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
• Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency, communication, and workflow processes.
• Maintain a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Investigate incidents, address performance concerns, and recommend personnel actions including promotions and development opportunities.
• Prepare forecasts, reports, and updates for leadership regarding departmental performance and growth opportunities.
• Act as a customer advocate and problem solver, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of leadership experience in residential electrical services, skilled trades, or service operations.
• 3+ years of electrical management experience preferred.
• Proven success leading high-performing teams and achieving revenue and operational goals.
• Experience managing departmental P&L responsibilities, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, service operations, permitting, inspections, and code compliance.
• Excellent coaching, leadership, and employee development skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
