Electrical Testing Technician

We are looking for an experienced Testing Technician to perform electrical testing for design development, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on completed production cables and heater systems, and support manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in AC and DC testing and cable sample preparation with medium voltage terminations. The candidate must possess a strong commitment to safety, especially in a manufacturing setting, and proactively promote a safety culture through PPE use. This position requires on‑site presence.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on cables and heater systems.
• Perform routine and specialized electrical tests on mineral‑insulated cable systems to evaluate performance and quality.
• Support other production‑related tasks as required.
• Assist with research and development efforts to enhance cable performance, applying technical knowledge to innovative projects.
• Manage and maintain the inventory of testing materials.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of test procedures, calibrations, and maintenance activities.

Testing Equipment Experience (Preferred)

• Line frequency HiPot (up to 50kV)
• Very low frequency (VLF) HiPot DC insulation testing
• Tan‑Delta testing
• Power analysis meters
• Inductance and capacitance meters
• High current injection
• Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR)
• Fault finding
• Data acquisition and logging equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/QC experience, particularly with electrical systems and test equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office for record‑keeping and report generation.
• Practical experience with hand and power tools.
