Job summary

Allient Inc. in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking an Electrical Tester to join our team. The role involves performing electrical and mechanical in-process and final product testing and inspection as part of our QA efforts.

You will set up test equipment, interpret procedures, record results, and ensure components meet specifications. The position requires 2 years of related testing experience and the ability to train others as needed.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and arithmetic with decimals and fractions.
• Ability to use charts, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
• 2 years of experience in related electrical or mechanical testing work.
• Ability to interpret procedures, set up tests, and make repairs/adjustments.
• Must be able to use test equipment such as boards, impedance boards, dielectric test set, multimeter, micrometer, and other measuring instruments.
• Moderate physical effort; continuous mental and visual attention required.
• Ability to train new hires and cross-train existing personnel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret procedures and set up tests; perform necessary adjustments to meet requirements; document test results and reports.
• Receive direction from Supervisor and work from test cards, parts lists, specifications, and procedures.
• Set up and use various test equipment (test boards, choke boards, impedance boards, dielectric test set, multimeter, micrometer, etc.).
• Select and set up fixtures and equipment according to test requirements; locate and file test cards and specs.
• Perform preliminary and final electrical tests of transformers or components and inspect conformance and appearance.
• Determine acceptance or rejection and communicate results; fill out inspection and move tickets.
• Report faults or discrepancies to Supervisor and maintain a clean work area; complete time and production reports.
• Observe all safety regulations and assist in training new hires.
