Job summary

The Test Technician at ABM Industries supports inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical power distribution equipment in commercial, industrial, and utility environments. This entry-level to developing role operates under supervision with potential overtime and travel as needed.

Pay ranges from $35.00 to $48.00 hourly, with sign-on bonuses, relocation/housing assistance, and a take-home company vehicle and fuel card offered.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic electrical theory and safety practices expected.
Ability to read basic electrical drawings and schematics.
Willingness to travel, overtime, and respond to outages as needed.
No NETA certification required; trainee experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

Assist with inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical power systems.
Set up and operate electrical test equipment under supervision.
Collect data, field notes, and observations for customer reports.
Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout, and energized-work controls.
Read schematics and connect with project stakeholders as needed.
