Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician – Systems Test to provide hands-on electrical support across optical assembly environments. You will troubleshoot motor control, cabling, wiring harness issues, and aid with new bench builds and NPI tasks.

Responsibilities include diagnosing circuit problems, fabricating wiring harnesses, testing communications interfaces, and supporting PLC troubleshooting. A strong background in electronics and cleanroom work is essential.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent).
3+ years hands-on electrical technician experience in a low-volume, high-mix environment.
Strong circuit troubleshooting with multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and logic analyzers.
Soldering and rework proficiency (through-hole, SMT, fine-pitch).
Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and pinout documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on electrical support for daily production and test bench operations.
Troubleshoot servo/stepper motor systems, motion controllers, encoders, and feedback devices.
Diagnose circuit-level issues on production and test equipment.
Fabricate, modify, and repair wiring harnesses and assemblies.
Create and redline wiring diagrams, schematics, and pinout documentation.
Support NPI activities requiring electrical assembly, integration, and validation.
Collaborate with engineers and production leadership; maintain 5S/housekeeping.
