Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking an Engineering Technician Level 3 for a 12-month assignment in Milwaukee, WI. This on-site role provides hands-on work in electrical and mechanical assembly, power and control wiring, and test instrumentation with laboratory equipment.

Candidates should read schematics and drawings, possess strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, and understand electrical safety, LOTO procedures, and basic Six Sigma and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Up to one year of technical school education or equivalent technical training.
• Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical assembly, power and control wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma concepts and 5S workplace organization.

Required Qualifications

• Up to one year of technical school education or equivalent technical training.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Electrical and mechanical assembly
• Power and control wiring
• Test instrumentation and laboratory equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of:
• Electrical safety practices
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Safe work practices around high-energy electrical systems
• Familiarity with Six Sigma concepts and 5S workplace organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing Motor Control Centers (MCCs), switchgear, or industrial power distribution equipment.
• Familiarity with UL and IEC compliance testing standards.
