*This is a direct hire position* Our client, a globally recognized leader in state-of-the-art power distribution solutions for critical industries like data centers, finance, and semiconductor manufacturing, is seeking an intelligent, detail-oriented, and dependable Test Technician to join their growing team in Streetsboro, Ohio.
In this hands-on, low-supervision role, you will take a lead position in testing newly developed and standard production products, using advanced test equipment, executing procedures, and maintaining precise documentation.
Primary responsibilities include inspecting and testing electrical power equipment, transformers, and circuit breakers, troubleshooting AC/DC power and control circuits operating at 480V to 600V, programming electronic devices via computer interfaces, performing occasional repairs on control and fiber optic assemblies, and adhering strictly to safety standards like lock-out/tag-out.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a minimum of two years of power industry experience, along with proven expertise in industrial electrical troubleshooting, reading schematics, using voltmeters/current meters, employing hand tools, and maintaining proper electrical PPE. Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel) and oral/written communication skills are essential, while experience with NEC codes, electrical parts assembly, or basic programming is a definite plus.
