Job summary

NPAworldwide in Syracuse, NY is seeking an Electrical Engineer Test Systems Design to join our hands-on engineering team developing PC-based test platforms and control solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or CS, at least 4 years in PC-based software for industrial/test systems, and LabVIEW proficiency. Knowledge of C/C++, microcontrollers, real-time data acquisition, and hardware/software interfacing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in PC-based software development for industrial or commercial control/test systems
• Proficient with LabVIEW for test system development
• Strong experience in system-level design, integration, and testing
• Advanced PC operations and understanding of hardware/software interfacing
• Preferred: Microcontroller development using Assembly and/or C/C++
• Preferred: Familiarity with real-time data acquisition, sensor integration, and automated testing protocols
• None required; relevant LabVIEW or NI certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom test systems and industrial control solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to bring new control technologies to market
• Support full product lifecycle from concept through deployment, including hardware and software integration
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize existing control systems for performance and reliability
• Document system designs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
