Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an Electrical Engineer on the Hardware Test team to design and automate test systems for UAV electrical subsystems. You will work across power electronics, RF, and system integration, developing PCBs to interface with DUTs and building fixtures for automated, high-fidelity testing.

You will collaborate in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments, applying Python scripting and hands-on PCB design to ensure reliability and mission readiness of cutting-edge UAV hardware.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong foundation in electrical, mechanical, and software principles.
• Experience with hardware projects across internships, clubs, or research.
• Demonstrated ownership and results in complex environments.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and solution-driven.

Responsibilities

• Design and own test systems for UAV electrical subsystems from concept to validation.
• Collaborate across power electronics, RF, and system integration disciplines.
• Develop PCBs to interface test stands with the device-under-test (DUT).
• Build fixtures integrating PCBAs and harnessing for automated testing.
• Automate test sequences with Python for repeatability and scalability.
• Support design reviews and advocate testability improvements.
