Role Overview

This role supports engineering test and development activities for Automotive Powertrain System Controls, including Transmission, Shifter, Fuel Injection, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support engineering test activities, applying engineering principles and analysis tools to test parts/components, ensuring they meet design and regulatory standards.
  • Write hardware and software specifications.
  • Perform objective and subjective testing, including driving tests.
  • Utilize data acquisition tools to collect, analyze, and report data.
  • Conduct vehicle benchmarking for target setting.
  • Instrument vehicles for testing, conduct tests on actual vehicles and simulators.
  • Analyze and resolve problems with guidance.
  • Negotiate with internal departments and external suppliers to meet specifications.
  • Coordinate with project teams to report status and develop countermeasures.
  • Seek new ways to improve efficiency and utilize up-to-date technology.
  • Travel to client/test sites as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechatronics Engineering or similar, with 3+ years of automotive powertrain systems controls testing experience.
  • Experience with Automotive ECU validation, especially Transmission, Shifter, Fuel Injection ECU preferred.
  • Understanding of requirements management, function validation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and CAN structures.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical hardware and software development.
  • Hands-on bench and vehicle-level testing experience.
  • Knowledge of CAN communication networks and tools such as Vector CAN Tools, CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
