Our client, a leader in electric vehicle manufacturing, is hiring a Battery Test Technician to join their team in Tustin, California!

**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits**

As the Battery Test Technician, you will be responsible for the safe disassembly, testing, and analysis of high-voltage battery modules and packs, supporting engineering teams in failure analysis and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Disassemble and analyze EV battery packs and modules to support failure investigations
• Operate and maintain test equipment such as environmental chambers, potentiostats, and thermal analysis tools
• Conduct risk assessments and follow all high-voltage and hazardous material safety protocols
• Collaborate with engineers to improve battery performance, safety, and teardown processes
• Document findings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in testing and teardown procedures

Desired Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in battery teardown, assembly, or related technical roles
• Hands-on experience working with high-voltage systems (up to 1,000V) and strong understanding of electrical safety
• Mechanical aptitude with fabrication, assembly, and diagnostic tool proficiency
• Familiarity with thermal, mechanical, and electrical battery failure modes
• Experience using Excel, databases, or LIMS for data collection and documentation
