Job summary

Mercor partners with a leading technology organization to recruit experienced Electrical Test Automation Engineers for a short-term project. You will design and implement automated test systems for electrical hardware, integrating test instruments and data acquisition to automate measurements.

You will develop scripts and analytics workflows, perform various test types, analyze results, and troubleshoot hardware issues while aligning with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical test experience in automation, instrumentation, or hardware validation.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing or executing automated electrical test systems.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++ or equivalent.
• Experience with test automation and instrument-control protocols such as SCPI, GPIB, USB, Ethernet, CAN, or RS-232/485.
• Ability to interpret schematics and test specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test systems and sequences for electrical hardware.
• Integrate test instruments and DAQ systems to automate measurements.
• Develop test scripts, automation frameworks, and data analysis workflows.
• Perform functional, validation, regression, and HIL testing where applicable.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot test setups, and identify root causes.
• Review methodologies and ensure alignment with project requirements.
