Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of related electrical, field service, testing, utility, military, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, power distribution equipment, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning support for low- and medium-voltage electrical power systems.
  • Set up and operate electrical test equipment and temporary test leads under supervision.
  • Perform simple measurements and basic tests under direct supervision.
  • Support testing of equipment such as switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, cables, relays, meters, and related apparatus.
  • Assist with pre-test and post-test jobsite activities, including equipment preparation, cleaning, assembly, disassembly, labeling, and documentation.
  • Accurately collect test data, field notes, equipment information, and jobsite observations for customer reports.
