Job summary

Bossier Parish Community College seeks a dynamic Electrician Technology Instructor to provide high-quality classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction at the Bossier campus. The instructor will prepare students for entry into the electrical workforce by teaching safety, electrical theory, NEC requirements, and crew-ready skills in NCCER-aligned courses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree/technical diploma preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, NEC, and interpreting drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Possession or ability to obtain NCCER Craft Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in Electrician Technology.
• Deliver NCCER-aligned instruction at the Bossier campus.
• Prepare students to safely install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Teach electrical principles and applications including NEC, circuits, and control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress; participate in program assessment and improvement.
