Job summary

Pipeline Construction & Maintenance, Inc. in Chalmette, LA is seeking Instrumentation & Electrical Technicians to maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot field equipment in a pipeline setting.

The role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety and hands-on experience with pipeline instrumentation and controls. Ideal candidates will hold a valid Louisiana Class D Chauffeur’s License, a TWIC card, and experience with medium voltage equipment up to 4,160 VAC, with the ability to read

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot measurement and electrical equipment in a pipeline environment.
• Handle preventative maintenance and inspections of instruments, analyzers and controls.
• Troubleshoot using loop drawings, schematics, ladder logic, and P&ID drawings.
• Conduct failure analysis on valves, motors and instruments.

Pipeline Construction & Maintenance, Inc. is seeking Instrumentation & Electrical Technicians for their Chalmette, Louisiana operations. These technicians will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting measurement and electrical equipment in a pipeline environment. The ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and experience with pipeline instrumentation and controls.

What You’ll Need

• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (Louisiana: Class D Chauffer’s License)
• TWIC Card required
• General pipeline knowledge and experience with medium voltage equipment up through 4,160 Vac
• Ability to install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on field instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and electrical equipment
• Proficiency in troubleshooting using loop drawing, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line, and P&I drawings
• Experience maintaining process control loops, electronic controls, valves, and transmitters
• Ability to conduct failure analysis and evaluation tests on valves, motors, and instruments
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds
• Compliance with PCM Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and all governmental regulations
