Job summary

Kymera International in Detroit, MI, seeks an experienced Electrician Journeyman to support manufacturing operations through troubleshooting, panel fabrication, and control system optimization. Responsibilities include building and wiring custom panels, installing them with machinery, updating documentation, and testing to maximize uptime.

Qualifications

Must hold Electrician Journeyman card or state license, with 8 years of electrical experience.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing environment experience.
Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs: Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5, Connected Components, and FactoryTalk View Studio.
Proficiency with hand tools, multimeters, and electrical testing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system issues in real-time with maintenance and engineering teams.
Support PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and safety devices.
Build and wire custom electrical control panels from schematics.
Install control panels and integrate them with machinery and production equipment.
Test panel functionality and troubleshoot prior to deployment.
Assist engineers in automation upgrades and optimization projects.
