Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking an Electrical Technician, Fabricator to fabricate and assemble control panels and small mechanical assemblies at our Portage, IN site. The role emphasizes safe work practices, quality control, and teamwork to support client projects across multiple industries.

You will read assembly details, use basic hand tools, and operate fabrication equipment. Occasional customer-site work may be required, with opportunities for growth within a leading engineering firm.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Welding experience in fabrication setting.
Good math skills.
Ability to read and understand assembly details.
Ability to perform fabrication/assembly duties on various projects.
Ability to read a measuring tape.
Knowledge of basic hand tools and their proper use.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble industrial control panels and small mechanical assemblies under supervision.
Organize work efficiently and maintain a neat work area.
Maintain records of time charged to projects.
Follow safety regulations and quality controls.
Weld, cut and form steel components.
Take ownership for projects and their completion.
Represent the company values and support team development.
