RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician IV for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of I&C equipment, with bench-level testing and prototype evaluation in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build I&C system components, panels, and assemblies using drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Perform bench-level testing of sensors, transmitters, controllers, and signal conditioning equipment.
• Support system integration by wiring, configuring, and verifying I&C connections and test setups.
• Assist with prototype builds, hardware troubleshooting, and calibration activities.
• Execute calibration and verification procedures using standard laboratory equipment.
• Document assembly and test results, including build records and test data.
• Maintain laboratory organization, tool control, and a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve design or testing issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by updating procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare instrumentation and test setups for system-level or field testing.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to support engineering and system development activities through the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control equipment.

In this role, you will build and integrate components such as sensors, transmitters, and control panels; perform bench-level and functional testing; and assist with prototype evaluations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a laboratory environment, takes pride in precision craftsmanship, and is eager to expand their knowledge of instrumentation, controls, and system testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to identify and resolve design or testing issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by updating procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare instrumentation and test setups for system-level or field testing activities.

Required Skills & Experience
