Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) in Manassas, VA is hiring an Electrical Technician Instructor to train the next generation of electricians. You will deliver classroom and hands-on lab instruction covering electrical systems, safety, and industry best practices.

The role welcomes experienced electricians or electrical technicians transitioning into teaching. A 5-day paid instructor training program is provided to support the switch to the classroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; electrical trade experience preferred.
• Experience teaching or mentoring students is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical tools, codes, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach electrical theory, wiring methods, and troubleshooting in classroom and lab.
• Deliver instruction aligned with industry standards and OSHA safety.
• Maintain up-to-date lesson plans and lab activities with program leadership.
• Monitor attendance and student progress, entering grades on time.
• Ensure classrooms and labs are safe, organized, and well-equipped.
