The instructor will provide quality educational programs through sound instruction to meet the individual needs of residents/students, as well as the standards defined under the Commonwealth’s statutes and program certification requirements. The Electrical Technician Instructor will provide instruction and engage students in a quality, competency-based program preparing students for entrylevel employment and/or post-secondary education.
The selected candidate must be able to successfully complete the Department of Juvenile Justice-mandated training and certifications, including the three-week DJJ Basic Skills for Security located in Hanover, Virginia.
A valid driver’s license is required of DJJ employees to operate a state-owned or leased vehicle.
