Sigma Design Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician II in Kirkland, WA to support engineering prototyping, testing, and production.

The role involves building prototypes, performing PCBA rework and soldering, wiring harness assembly, and comprehensive testing under supervision with opportunities to contribute to process improvements. The candidate should have 2–5 years in electronics assembly, strong schematic reading skills, and the ability to work in a team within a standard

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 2–5 years electronics assembly, testing, prototyping, or related technician work.
• Experience performing SMT and through-hole soldering.
• Experience performing PCBA rework, component replacement, and precision soldering preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and test prototypes, assemblies, and fixtures from drawings and schematics.
• Perform PCBA rework and precision soldering under a microscope.
• Assemble and modify wire harnesses, cables, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Execute functional, environmental, and acceptance testing and document results.
• Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Support investigations, prototype iterations, and design validation activities.
• Contribute to documentation updates and continuous improvement.
