Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Electrical Technician II to build and repair electrical panels and systems for industrial machinery in our Sturgis, MI facility. You will follow schematics and electrical code, ensuring quality and timely production within a fast-paced team.

The role requires troubleshooting, high voltage awareness, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset to meet safety and performance targets. Day-to-day work includes hands-on assembly and diagnostic tasks across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to advance from Electrical Technician I.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Math skills and ability to use measurement tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability.
• Drug screen clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Wire electrical panels following schematics and blueprints.
• Understand power wiring and conduit for machines.
• Connect power wires and cables safely between machines.
• Diagnose faulty components using test equipment.
• Work with high voltage safely.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Interpret blueprints to assemble finished electrical products.
• Move between assembly electrical areas as needed.
• Arrive on time and stay engaged throughout shift.
• Document patterns in processes and problems.
• Participate in regular reviews and goals.
