Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a technician to wire electrical control panels and assemble enclosures in a fast-paced production environment. You will read schematics, BOMs, and prints to ensure accurate wiring and component layout, with emphasis on motor control and safety.

The role requires familiarity with PLC terminology, AC/DC control circuits, and standard measurement tools, along with teamwork and the ability to multitask under deadlines. Forklift training may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring electrical control panels and reading schematics.
• Familiarity with PLC terminology and motor control concepts.
• Knowledge of AC/DC control circuits and safety codes.
• Ability to interpret engineering prints, BOMs, and specifications.
• Comfort using standard hand tools and measurement devices.
• Capable of multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Wiring electrical control panels efficiently in a high-volume production setting.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and BOMs/drawings/prints.
• Laying out, machining, populating, and wiring electrical control enclosures.
• Assembly of mechanical and pneumatic components as required.
• Using hand tools, drills, taps, and multi-meter for assembly and testing.
• Verify work by continuity checks or functional tests to meet specs.
• Operate forklift if required and training provided.
