Job summary

PowerSecure Brand is seeking an Electrical Technician II for projects across the Washington DC area. The role covers building electrical installations, lighting replacements, retrofits, and control systems, including medium voltage distribution work.

Candidates should have 1–4 years in electrical trades, a high school or trade-school background, and the ability to read drawings, lay out raceways, and install lighting and controls. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School, GED, or trade school education.
• 1–4 years in electrical trade (institutional/industrial/commercial).
• Experience with lighting systems, exterior/highbay/troffer fixtures.
• Demonstrated ability to install raceways, conductors, and LV distribution equipment.
• Travel to project sites and possible on-site presence required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with foreperson to schedule material and equipment needs.
• Install and retrofit lighting and electrical systems per plans.
• Read drawings and project specs; lay out raceways and conductor runs.
• Lay out, install, repair and troubleshoot electrical systems and controls.
• Train Level 1 technicians and maintain safety on site.
