ABOUT ROCKET LAB

As a highly reusable platform, Neutron aims to be cost-effective and reliable, building on Rocket Lab's success with the Electron program. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in working on a clean-sheet development of a reusable liquid launch vehicle.

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN II

The Electrical Technician II is crucial for building Neutron facilities, supporting testing, and the first launch campaign. The role involves working within a close-knit team responsible for the build, integration, testing, operation, and maintenance of the Neutron launch vehicle and ground systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Participate in the installation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on test and launch sites supporting Neutron.
  • Develop workflows and best practices for launch pad operations.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks to quality standards.
  • Support launch operations and integration activities.
  • Install and troubleshoot launch pad systems, including electrical panels, instrumentation, cable routing, and conduit installation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED with Journeyman Qualification or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical systems and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and instructions.
  • Experience with instrumentation installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Hands-on control system experience.
  • Experience with maintenance of generators and UPS systems.
  • Knowledge of fluid systems such as pneumatic, cryogenic, hydraulics.
  • Experience in a launch vehicle environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfort working with hazardous chemicals.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
