Job summary

Renu Energy Solutions is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our field-based team installing solar PV and energy storage systems for residential and commercial sites across the Carolinas.

The role includes hands-on electrical work, adherence to electrical codes, and collaboration with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality installations. Training is provided during the first 30 days, with all tools and safety gear supplied and some local travel required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work safely on rooftops, ladders, attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces.
• Valid driver9s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of solar PV and energy storage systems from start to finish.
• Install system components while following diagrams, specifications, and project requirements.
• Work in compliance with company standards, electrical codes, and safety rules.
• Support Electrical Team Lead and crew to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintain work vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Assist with electrical upgrades, rooftop work, and field installation activities.
• Participate in training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.

We're looking for an Electrical Technician to join our growing team. In this field-based role, you'll assist with the installation of residential and commercial solar PV and energy storage systems while working alongside experienced professionals to deliver safe, high-quality installations that meet company standards and electrical codes.

Whether you're experienced in solar or looking to grow your electrical career, Renu provides classroom and hands‑on field training during your first 30 days. All tools and required safety equipment are provided, and some local travel between job sites is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• System Installation: Assist with the installation of solar PV and energy storage systems from start to finish.
• Electrical Work: Install system components while following electrical diagrams, specifications, and project requirements
• Quality & Safety: Perform work in accordance with company standards, electrical codes, and safety requirements.
• Team Support: Assist the Electrical Team Lead and crew members to ensure efficient project completion.
• Equipment Management: Maintain work vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Field Service: Assist with electrical upgrades, rooftop work, and other field installation activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Complete training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Required / Minimum

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work safely on rooftops, ladders, attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
• General knowledge of electrical work, construction, and OSHA safety practices
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

Preferred / Helpful

• 1+ year of electrical experience
• 1+ year of solar electrical experience
• Experience with residential or commercial electrical installations
• Interest in building a career in the renewable energy industry
